7000 Last
Prestige Chambord Double Leather Sole

Evolving from the classic double buckle silhouette, the John Lobb 2017 limited edition shoe, Hayes highlights the pinnacle of artisanal shoemaking. It features a whole cut construction with hand sewn details set against fluid lines on the elegant rounded 7000 last shape. With only 1000 being produced, this style has its own unique number stamped on the sole and comes supplied with a specific shoe tree and special edition shoe box.
care guide

For more pleasure and comfort, always use a shoe horn to avoid misshaping your shoes or damaging the back.

Rotate your shoes between wears to allow the leather time to dry and breathe.

Using a shoetree daily will keep the shoes in optimum shape and will help to soften creasing.

Before applying any care products, clean your shoes with a humidified sponge. Let them then dry naturally for at least 24 hours.

The very best product for leather care is a good conditioning cream. Regular application is recommended to keep leather supple and hydrated.
Apply the cream using a soft cotton cloth wrapped around a finger or two in small circularmotions. Avoid sweeping strokes.
Take a small brush to apply cream to the join of the sole to the upper.
For best results, allow for the cream to penetrate for at least 10–15 minutes before polishing off with a soft brush.

In addition, though not essential, a wax polish can be applied to give a more gleaming patina, especially to the toe and heel area.
Application of the wax is done in the same method as the cream, with the addition of a dab of water if required to achieve the desired glazed effect.

Once the shoes have been put on, and after walking a few steps, give a final touch with a dry cotton cloth or soft brush to remove the excess cream or wax from the creasing.

For the maintenance of suede shoes, simply brush when needed with a dedicated brush.

The pinnacle of artisanal shoemaking.

The characteristic hand sewn apron is secured by utilising a natural bristle to meticulously thread through holes made using a fine awl, taking the artisan over two hours per pair to complete.

Through the absence of visible stitching elsewhere, the beauty of the hand sewn apron seam is heightened, with buckle straps completely unadorned and a single blind seam used to join the upper together.

The Goodyear welted construction ensures the most lasting and comfortable shoe. Specially crafted Chambord double leather soles boast finely wheeled welts, hand sculpted waists, tapered heels and painted sole bottoms, all combined to ensure the ultimate in elegance and durability.

Each individually numbered, limited edition pair of Hayes shoes are the culminatin of six weeks of highly skilled craftsmanship by John Lobb artisans in Northampton, England.
